SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TRACKS

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE’s Senior High School is a college preparatory program that produces work-oriented and outward-looking graduates who will be able to compete and survive in a global situation.


NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE offers programs for the following STRANDS under the ACADEMIC TRACK:

Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM)

General Academic Strand (GAS)

Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)


Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM)

ABM focuses on the basic concepts of business management, financial management, corporate management and operations, human resource management, entrepreneurship, and information technology.


General Academic Strand (GAS)

While the other strands are career-specific, the General Academic Strand is great for students who are still undecided on which tract to take.  You can choose electives from the different academic strands under the track.  These subjects include Humanities, Social Sciences, Applied Economics, Organization and Management, and Disaster Preparedness.


Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)

The Humanities and Social Sciences are the study of human behavior and interaction in social, cultural, environmental, economic and political contexts.  The Humanities and Social Sciences have a historical and contemporary focus, from personal to global contexts, and consider challenges for the future.

 

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE also offers programs for the following TECHNICAL-VOCATIONAL LIVELIHOOD tracks:

Computer System Servicing (NC II)

Computer Programming (NC III)

Animation (NC II)


Computer System Servicing (NC II)

This program trains the students to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain personal-computer systems and peripherals.  A student is also expected to upgrade hardware and software, mass-assemble or customize personal computer units and may recondition old PC units.


Computer Programming (NC III)

The Computer Programming course belongs to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strand of the Technical-Vocational Livelihood track.  This course aims to tackle writing computer programs, technical drafting, illustrating and designing websites, and Java programming among others.


Animation (NC II)
The animation strand of TVL track in Senior High School equips students with knowledge in the areas of 3D animation and gaming involving computers or mobile devices.

NEW ENGLAND COLLEGEs baccalaureate courses is a tertiary level program which aims to produce nationalistic, humanistic, and values oriented graduates who will be internationally competitive and who also will be great contributors to national development.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Management

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Management, is a four year degree program designed to equip students with the concepts and principles of Business Management.  The program teaches students operations and processes that occur within an organization such as procurement, logistics, quality control, project management, manufacturing and marketing.  It focuses on the more authoritative aspects of business like planning business activities, organizing departments and employees, running departments, and generally managing an organization. 

 

Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English

The Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English program is a four year degree program designed to equip learners with adequate and relevant competencies to teach English in the secondary or high school level.  It aims to develop highly motivated and competent English teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary or high school education.
